Tackle consultant Alex Woodcock has been at it again – beating the tough conditions to bank this impressive-looking mirror.
Here’s the story:

“I managed to get out for 24-hours on Sunday night but after trying everything from bottom baits/zigs/surface, they just weren’t interested in feeding,” said Alex.
“Luckily one finally slipped up a few hours before home time. A 5ft zig in 4.5ft of water on one of the new ET Imitation Dog Biscuits with the foam insert flavoured in Impulse Baits Choc Narna did the business. Instead of the shot I was using one of the pink sight tips from the older mixers.
“It might have only been 17lb, but what a stunner! Rather this than a pale chunk of a 30 most places are full of now days!”
